(72 in. X 24 in.) This sunrise design fuses the natural view of the dawn sky with the spiritual view of hope and optimism in a new morning.
The totemic thunderbird rises above the sun swirling in the turbulent lower atmosphere and mesa shapes in shilouette.
This free-hanging panel is framed in raw iron. It may be hung as an interior divider, or installed in an exterior or interior wall.

Since 1973, Lee Baldwin (1942- ) has designed and fabricated original artworks in flat glass. The panels coming from Baldwin’s studio are distinguished by spatial and multiplanar abstraction, as well as a clean, sometimes minimal, design motif reminiscent of some Shoji screens.
In addition to autonomous works for exhibition, Baldwin has worked with interior designers and architects, creating a large body of original glass installations now on display in corporate offices, residences, and public buildings in the Western U.S., Canada, and Hawaii.
Trained as a classical and jazz pianist since age 3, educated in mathematics at the University of California, Riverside, Baldwin credits this background for his ability to find a unique departure for each design. Self-taught as an artist, Baldwin prefers to develop techniques that convey his vision, rather than learning a body of technique per se. Full portfolio and other info at www.sleepingdeer.com.
