lost-wax glass sculpture I work with glass since 1988 and I managed to tame this material throughout one of the most laborious glass casting techniques: pate de verre/ lost wax. Experimenting with glass using this method takes time, energy, patience, high technical skills and above all passion. Works in glass are never boring, each project brings new technical and estetical problems to be solved. Expressing form, meaning and colour at the same time, my glass works stand for my experience in this field for over 15 years. I combine my efforts with those of appreciated architects, interior designers and contemporary sculptors to realise custom made pieces.I must say that I work alone through the entire process, and I`m proud to say that I have ellaborated my own mould formula adaptable for different kinds of glass used. Please visit my gallery and add your comments.
A fine glass sculpture realized after a bozzetto signed by Vlad Corban a contemporary Romanian artist with whom Dan Salceanu succesfully edited two works (,,Head of Pegas`` and ,,Miriam``). The work is an astonishing example of cast glass sculpture using the lost wax technique which can preserve the freshness of the model. On the surface you can see the artist`s finger prints imprinted while making the model.
