Light Fixture, October '06... Artworks Gallery Show

Light Fixture, October '06... Artworks Gallery Show

Here's a light fixture that I made for a centerpiece in my October gallery showing at Artworks here in Seattle. Their are 17 cones/lights; I made the center cone on the lathe and the other 16 by hand. Every component has been fumed with gold & silver and sandblasted. 19 lbs--- this was alot of fun to work on, I estimate 125 hours went into this. A big thanks goes to Artworks for the opportunity to show my work!

Soap Dispenser, December 05

Soap Dispenser, December 05

Big ups to Sarah for the dispenser idea, had to snag it for the Christmas to do list-- Given to my brother Justin and his wife Sarah -- my order of operations was off and I don't own claws- kind of got in over my head, had to hold the whole thing with one hand and try to spin it 360 so I could push the base, which is slightly off.....probably try a punty next time...3 reversals.......multi/momka's exotic citrus(2 shades)

    Starter stash rules
Matthew Eskuche: Nick, I think the classes have room for eight usually. If I remember, Eugene might fit ten, but there's a cutoff for five hippies per class. According to that sport coat you can ignore that guideline. Glasscraft is smallish, but every school shoots for at least eight. I'll keep an eye out for you.

DeMoss: Loved seeing your stuff in person, it's super tight man. Let me know how that stump sucker works on boro. I've been thinking about it as well. David Rosenfeldt mentioned a vaccume plate that works way better..I'll have to look into it.
