These are made with purple luster, encased in clear, usually 3 to a mandrel. They have 2mm holes and are quite small.

Teal carnival encased in clear. As long as you encase quickly you should be able to keep the green base with blue opal haze.

Teal carnival with yellow frit, encased in clear. Yellow becomes blue to ivory when reduced a little. Apply the teal in an oxy flame and encase quickly so it doesn't reduce.

Purple luster encased in clear with amazon lagoon 'hourglass sand' size frit on the surface. I use a very hot oxy flame to get the opal amber violet.

Double amber purple encased in clear. Burn off haze before you apply the color for more purple after you strike.

Ruby base encased in yellow then encased in clear. Brush beads with a reducing flame before putting in the kiln.

Swirling opalescent blue violet, encased in clear. For better colors burn off all haze before you apply, I didn't do this and got more swirling inside the color.

Turquesa encased in clear. Very pretty color, has highlights of lavender, gets darker blue in different lights. I didn't try to strike for more dramatic colors and effects.

Before making these I striped the rod of double amber purple with clear glass to create stripes within the beads, then encased in clear once the base was laid down. Purple areas are where the rod was striped, Ivory is where the color became reduced

Lots of sparkle and rainbow luster, encased in clear glass. Color seemed to build up a haze that might be avoided.

Clover chameleon encased in clear. Tends to bubble up but not boil. Worked in a neutral flame and light highlights of blue and pink developed on the surface of the color.

Yellow encased in clear, some creamy tones from kiln strike. This is the yellow you get with a high oxy flame.
