Mostly adding these to show some boro colors and what they look like in a small application such as little spacer beads. I hope this page will help with what some of the colors look like together, in frit form, and encased colors. Hopefully it will also be a good reference for people who want to try boro but don't know what colors to start with.

Lava, Pomegrana 500 x 327 px (37 KB) 0 Comments	Teal Carnival Teal carnival encased in clear. As long as you encase quickly you should be able to keep the green base with blue opal haze. 377 x 300 px (29 KB) 0 Comments	Teal Carnival & Teal carnival with yellow frit, encased in clear. Yellow becomes blue to ivory when reduced a little. Apply the teal in an oxy flame and encase quickly so it doesn't reduce. 500 x 276 px (49 KB) 0 Comments
Amazon Night Green and blue swirling lines, encased in clear 500 x 286 px (47 KB) 0 Comments	Purple Luster & Purple luster encased in clear with amazon lagoon 'hourglass sand' size frit on the surface. I use a very hot oxy flame to get the opal amber violet. 500 x 233 px (40 KB) 0 Comments	Double amber pu Double amber purple encased in clear. Burn off haze before you apply the color for more purple after you strike. 500 x 277 px (45 KB) 0 Comments
Ruby & Yellow Ruby base encased in yellow then encased in clear. Brush beads with a reducing flame before putting in the kiln. 500 x 271 px (44 KB) 0 Comments	Blue Amber Purp Swirling opalescent blue violet, encased in clear. Pomegranate Pomegranate encased in clear. This is the best ruby color I have ever worked with, if you could only afford 1 ruby I'd recommend this one! 500 x 274 px (44 KB) 0 Comments	Turquesa Turquesa encased in clear. Very pretty color, has highlights of lavender, gets darker blue in different lights. Double Amber Pu Before making these I striped the rod of double amber purple with clear glass to create stripes within the beads, then encased in clear once the base was laid down. Pomegranate & T Mixed the colors a bit, encased in clear. Got a pink mauve color. 500 x 255 px (45 KB) 0 Comments	Teal Sparkle & Put stripes of BAP on teal sparkle and then made little beads with that rod, encased in clear. Lightly struck in an oxy flame. 500 x 278 px (46 KB) 0 Comments	Teal Carnival & Striped a rod of teal carnival with extra light yellow, used that to make the beads, encased in clear. Amber Purple Amber purple encased in clear 400 x 423 px (44 KB) 0 Comments	Amazon Jewel Lots of sparkle and rainbow luster, encased in clear glass. Color seemed to build up a haze that might be avoided. 500 x 262 px (38 KB) 0 Comments	Clover Chameleo Clover chameleon encased in clear. Tends to bubble up but not boil. Yellow Yellow encased in clear, some creamy tones from kiln strike. This is the yellow you get with a high oxy flame. 492 x 300 px (36 KB) 0 Comments	Triple Passion? Yellow & Amber Yellow base encased in clear with amber purple frit on the surface. I just can't seem to keep the blue passion from turning ivory with blue and tan highlights. I sell my beads and sculpted flowers via Etsy, my user name is Uvanomos. You can also purchase my work at the West of the Moon gallery in Flagstaff, AZ and Animas Beads. I am 27 years old, and have worked with glass for 15 years, getting my start when I was just 13 years old. This is now my 10th year working with borosilicate glass and I am still immersed in what feels like a fresh budding passion every time I create. I just graduated from NAU with a degree in Sociology. I really appreciate the support of all of my customers and glass enthusiasts! Besides glass & school, I love to Hike, especially in the Grand Canyon!
