"I draw my inspiration from patterns and colors in my surroundings. Some visuals from nature are my garden plants, or from the structure of cells, a bug’s wings or a beetle’s magnificent armor. Other images come through the urban environment around me cobblestone paths manhole covers or riveted steel. My work has often been associated with Egyptian scarab amulets and ancient Roman Art Glass."

The visual drama of dichroic glass is achieved by micro thin layers of metals being bonded to sheets of glass in a high tech vacuum process developed by NASA. The result is a prism like effect. Light is allowed to both reflect and transmit through the surface of the glass.
