24k gold plated faceshield
This faceshield provides protection against radiant IR heat... it keeps
my face cool and not 'sunburn/torchburned'.
I've never been a person to spend much energy striving for material wealth so I am glad that gold has a functional use to go along with its 'financial value'.
I think of it as armour for Jah soldier. Peace through Love...
One Love.

Blueberry greengrass dichroic galaxy pendant
Here are photos of one my best galaxy
pendants so far. I call this one M-42zbbgg
for a galaxy name. Also photographed is
a few other dichro marbles and pendants.
The first 2 photos and the last few photos
are all the same blueberry greengrass
dichro pendant. Check out the color shift
in the first 2 photos.
Thanks for looking at my work. Please
contact me by email to purchase my work.
It is for sale.

Eric Goldshmit goblet class results
Here are some photos of two goblets.
The big goblet is a venetian style goblet
that Eric Goldshmit made during a demo
in a goblet class that I attended. He raffled some demos to the students and I won this beautiful cup. It was blessings
that I won that one, because I made a small
cup in class that was modeled slightly
after the cup I won. The goblet I made
is the small goblet in the photographs.

Family
Life is the greatest art of all.
These are moments of fun with my family.
My son Isaiah, I, and shelby the lab.
This is what we made with playdoh and
he was the funniest thing making his 'dreadies' as he calls them... he said
'your dreadies don't come out do they daddy?' and I said 'no son. they don't. but they come out my head.' and he laughed. He's the coolest little man.
Then a photo of the beautiful ancient
bog (filled with water/pond and many endangered species dragonflies and plants scientists have studied it in the past) and Izzy throwing stick after stick to Shelby. We love it!
Peace.

first goblet
This was my first flare that I
felt good enough about to make into a goblet and put some decorative work into. The cup is not perfect, but a good start. Much practice will make relatively more perfect ;)
The dichro ribbon was the last addition
after some inspiration from a friend
glassblower (Erik Anders!) who had just finished his 3rd goblet (which was very beautiful and intricate)... thanks for the inspiration and dichro (I bought it from him...) sweeet!
This goblet is not for sale (#1s go in the personal collection...) but a series of similar and more refined goblets will be fore sale soon. Thanks for checking out my work.
Ahhhh!
Cheers to life!

Flower Oil Lamp
This oil lamp stands about 8" from base
to head. The head is comprised of 3 small
sections with a kryptonite stem and green
carnival leaves backed and mixed with true green.

Jupi-Blue Galaxy marbles
I named these marbles Jupi-Blue galaxy
becaues I was thinking of the planet Jupiter and the red storm while I did
the backings. The larger backing consists of new reformulated cherry, cherrywood and rootbeer (double AP based)... the smaller backing is all color aurora with
hobnails to trap different atmospheric color changes induced by the torch under different hobnails. I used a yellow/blue
dichroic glass that reflects and transmits mostly the blue spectrum.
The larger marble is approximately 1 1/4"
and the smaller of the two is a 1" marble.
I took these photographs inside for a private collector to view and some of the
photos are not in perfect focus and my light source (a lamp) reflects in smoe of the photos. I apologize for the indoor shots, as I really think glass looks its most beautiful in the outdoors under natural sunlight... I just wanted to get
something up for the collector to view.

mushroom theme goblet
Here is a new goblet I made based
on a mushroom theme. The cup sits
on a stem that is is shaped like a mushroom
with a fumed honeycomb dichroic galaxy for the cap and cobalt and teal blue solid colors forming the stem of the stem. *pun*!
The stem sits upon a marble with 3 pushed
mushrooms of the new northstar golden/blue
luster (soon to be released I hope!) which
sits on a decorated foot.

Newspaper Clipping
Greetings.
We recently did a lampworking
demonstration along side of
soft glass furnace workers.
It was called the first annual
Virginia Hot Glass Festival which
co-insided with a big historic festival
in a historic town called the Victorian
Festival. Since all the elements came
together, we had a lot of curious onlookers. I hope we conveyed part of the
history of lampworking up to this present
day and conveyed some of our hopes and aspirations for a beautiful futre.
Thanks to my good friends J and Sweet
for also doing demos and helping with
all the hard work of setting up.

Pine Tree oil lamp...
Here is my newest oil lamp vessel. It stands over a foot tall and is made of
a quadruple honeycomb with two layers of original millenium moss and 2 layers of amazon lagoon. The reversal section is polaris, og moss and silver. The top of the vessel and also the axe in
the stump is touched with purple dichro.
Thanks Derek for the ogmoss samples and dichro scraps!

VA Hot Glass festival artists galleries
Greetings,
This work is the work of many glass artists
of Virginia. This is mostly all furnace / offhand soft glass working. We were the only gallery to represent lampworking, but
our gallery is not included here. All work
here are the very talented hot glass workers that we met. My studio partner, Old Flash used to work at this hot glass shop doing copper and is friends with artsits Mihn and Phil who both have work photoed here. We tried to photo the name tags, but we missed some. If you are interested in who did a piece, please email me and I will try to find out.
I was very fortunate to meet these artists and be in a show with them.I learned even more about glass from watching the glory hole furnace offhand work and came to appriciate the torch and our ability to collab with less limits than any other glassworking that I know of. Long live glass and the artists!
Peace.

VA Hot Glass Festival lampworking demos
We didn't get to take too many photos
of our demos as we were pretty busy
trying to pass out specs, telling the
crowd not to look if they don't have specs
and of course working the glass!
Photos of Sweet (short fella dreadi), Ashby (thats me...) and Jamie (Ol' Flash) tall
person in red shirt...
We got invted back next year and my only hope is to have a dydinium shield as there was limited safety specs between
our demo and the hot shop/offhand demo
going on beside us.

Vase famili montage
Here is a collaboration by Ash and Mia.
The bigger vase stands approximately 13" tall and the smaller vase is close to half the size.
In the large vessle we used green amber purple, dark plumb, lemon drop, and green carnival. We had no compatability
issues with this combination. Sweet!
Both of these were long overdue gifts to
family members and are not for sale. If interested in our work, please contact us for prices and custom orders.
