Peggy Pettigrew Stewart
A native of San Francisco Bay Area, now residing in Arizona. From the water to the desert - I find beauty in both. My work has both the elements of water, and the desert. Mystified and intrigued by the Hopi Tribal storytelling, I have been motivated to create my Earth-Wind-Sky-Water series. It is a visual analogy of the Hopi belief about our spirit & soul. My preferred glass is Optical Crystal. This is my Plasma Fusion glass. Multiple Optical lenses fused together, and hand manipulated in kilns. Resulting in 18-22" diameter glass, with a thickness of over 1/2". My other work is in kiln cast vessels, "Verre Eglomaise" deep reverse sandcarved cast glass. Hand painted and inlaid with copper, silver or gold. Again I am drawn to the desrt and the ocean, and my work follows. I have studied at Pilchuck Glass School as well as in Spain and other places, and continue my search for new techniques and materials to incorporate into my art. Thank you very much for looking at my work. It is very much appreciated. And as I believe - "Anything IS Possible"

Beautiful and unique
These pieces are multi diminsional, and so beautiful. Even though we share the same last name, we sure don't share the talent! Your work is very moving. Wish I had that talent. Thank you for posting your work. - Pamela

So Original
I adore your bowls and they are so much in your own voice. Your faces are so original too. The textures, the colors are exquisite. Congratulations!
