Leafcutter Ant Infected with Cordyceps Fungus

The first-completed of 4 (or 5?) pieces for part of an exhibit at Racine Art Museum this summer, entitled: Eccentric Insects.

Made of Effetre glass, a twig, steel wire, and yet-to-be-made display stand of borosilicate glass and a weathered log. Ant itself measures about 4 inches long.

Wesley Fleming: thanks! no issues with the wire - I've been using it for a few months now. Only problem is that sometimes it doesn't stick. it's basically like a stuck mandrel in a bead.
