Sabina
Sabina Boehm's natural talent has always drawn her to the arts. In 1994, as Seattle's Borosilicate art glass movement was gaining momentum, she secured an apprenticeship. Then used those first years gaining knowledge through observation, practice, taking classes and networking. In the late 1990's, Sabina started a cooperative glass studio. She later work with Momka's Glass Company testing color for the glass chemist, this gave her an insightful knowledge of glass. The medium has great feminine appeal, and the meditative process has kept her blowing for the past 14 years. In 2005 and 2006, Sabina was awarded first place in the marble category at the very prestigious Eugene Glass School Flame Off. Marbles have been important in her work for many years, recently she has broadened her horizons to include figurative and sculptural work. She has been invited to share her skills and experience teaching throughout the US, Cananda and Germany, and doing live demonstrations at venues such as the Museum of Glass in Tacoma and the EMP in Seattle. You can find her work published in various magazines and on the web

    AWESOME STUFF!!!
PyroManiacal: DAMN IMPRESSIVE! Thanks for sharing your work. looking forward to seeing more soon! If youre ever around Denver, look me up and you're more than welcome to check out our studio and maybe collab? Check out the Colorado Project (nonprofit) and Corrine Winters gallery also, theyre having exhibition parties once a month at a different studio each time (Maybe they can arrange for you to do a guest appearance- Trautman was at the last one), its alot of fun to have so many people working together for a common goal to better the community. Im stuck in Co. for a couple more years until I can travel again, but Ill definitely see you around eventually, as Im certainly not leaving the glass community and am sure youre not either- as awesome as your work is! Id feature your post, but I just featured 2 artists the other day.
