Rose Vine

Rose Vine

Rose Winters and I made this one in 2008, for my Grandmother's 80th birthday. I made the glass flowers, wrapped the copper, and made aluminum sepals from recycled beer cans. Rose did all the painting and assembly.

I have been working with glass since 1998, when I happened to get a job at Glasscraft following my new found interest in making glass beads. I started doing production full time in 2001, having picked up as much information as I could from random blowers and Glasscraft employees- and of course, Homer Hoyt. Today I find time to make art in between my huge production orders. I am looking forward to using my skills in different media to combine with glass for hopefully more expressive work. I am inspired by the awesome works of artists, including the glass artists on this site; as well as beauty I find in nature and in music.

I've only recently been told about the schedule change for the party (at)
5th DiMEnTIoN GlaSs; was jan.15th now will be the 16th. If IM finding out from an email newsletter, and not from the multitude of other people who I work with, then hopefully you can help get the word out about the change some more also so that people dont miss out or show up on the wrong day. Im super stoked how well the COLORADO PROJECT is working out for you(and everybody), and I really enjoy attending the events when I can!
Always looking forward to seeing more of your work on here. Give me a heads up if possible for what the big plan is for the event, Om pretty well in the dark as to except for the location! LOL! see you soon! ;^)
