A couple of months ago a huge wildfire ripped through the foothills of Santa Barbara and my Glass Studio happened to be right smack dab in the middle of it. We stayed to defend the house and my studio. The height of the fire storm lasted almost an hour during which the whole garden was on fire and there were 100ft flames on all sides and the fire burned up to 3ft from the door of my studio. It was one of the most intense things I've ever been through in my life. Here are a few photos taken during and after the fire. With the help of a bunch of fire fighters we managed to save the house and my studio.

Lindemann Glass
I have been working with glass since 1996. I first started during my senior year at UC Santa Cruz as a Biology Major. About halfway through my senior year I got a basic lampworking setup and by the time I graduated I was making enough money to survive. Since then I have been working hard to build my studio, my knowledge, and to continually advance as a glassblower. My first few years I had very little influence from other glass artists and recently I have realized that there are a lot of talented and inspirational artists out there and I am glad I finally feel like I am becoming part of the glass community.
