Inspired by a collection of bugs I bought down in Tucson in Feb - all encased in one HUGE block of lucite.
Made of Effetre glass over a GTT Phantom and measures 6" x 2.5" x 0.5".
And yes, it only has 42 legs! I always thought centipedes had 100 legs (right?) - had to count them 3 times on my specimen before I believed it LOL!

Wesley Fleming, glass sculptor
Wesley is inspired by the shapes and colors of nature as well as his wacky imagination, spending much of his spare time exploring under rocks and logs outdoors. With his glass insects, Wesley mimics actual species with intricate detail. In other pieces he conjures creatures from dreams and his inner reality.
Wesley has been working with hot glass for 9 years and is represented by galleries around the United States. His work can be found online at: www.wesleyfleming.com
