This larger piece was a custom order/ challenge, and turned out to be a lot of fun. The center has an implosion with uranium dots under gold and silver fume. There is a large Gilson opal in the center, and a multi colored dichroic vortex in the background. The piece is layered with concentric rings of reds, ambers, and corals. A diamond wheel was used to carve a star around the cold worked face, revealing a pattern within the color. The weight is oval shaped and textured and fumed on the back for an organic feel. This piece measures approx 4" x 2 3/8".
