Welcome to the tropics!

Sunsets, ocean breezes, refreshing saltwater.I have always loved the tropics. After living in Florida for a number of years, I was transplanted to the Southwest. These beads are my attempt to recapture and remember the Florida I left, and to serve as a stepping stone to the beauty of this new place I now call home.

I have always loved glass. Looking at glass, touching glass, watching glassblowers and flameworkers. Little did I know that one day I would have the opportunity to play with fire myself. How ironic that I would learn this craft during a sizzling summer in Phoenix.
The art of lampworking has a Zen effect,serving to calm and focus both the artist and the viewer, enchanting both with the beauty of this molten solid.
