I blow and sculpt hot glass. I find inspiration in the organic shapes found in nature. I have always been intrigued by fossils. There is something very compelling and symbolic to me, about organisms embedded in rock. I think trilobites are amazing. I love the folds and movement in their form. These extinct creatures varied greatly in their size and form. In my process I don't try to recreate the exact species. Instead, I make what I see in my mind's eye, and what I hope are interesting pieces. I never use molds and each glass piece is one of a kind.
