The Lower Basket is filled with blown glass balls or “Satsumas” (a type of citrus fruit grown locally here in Louisiana) each has an iridescent or reduced crackle finish.

As with all my Lit Sculptures above 25lbs, this one is suspended independently from the junction box, this 3/16" thick steel plate is bolted to the directly into the blocking/frame.

The patina finish is the same on all steel surfaces.

One day I hope to own my owne machine lathe, but for now I use a drill press and then tap these steel balls with a 1/4-20" thread, this completed sculpture only weighs 170lbs, but we installed enough support to easly lift out a car engine...

Yes that is my 165lb fat a^% hanging from the installed frame. I repeat this test (ritual?) for each installation.
