Dictaphone's indusiata or Veil Mushroom
A showy species from the rainforest, this pale brown mushroom has a lacy veil which hangs down from the steeply sloped cap and reaches almost to the level of the soil. It smells awful but the flies don't mind.
I made this last summer and never got a chance to get some good shots of it. I have some of the images I came across while researching this mushroom. During this time period I did not have a kiln at my temporary studio so I had to flame anneal. Mickelson showed me the webbing tech and I became absorbed with it. Some of the other work from the same time period is shown. All clear and clear sandblasted. The mushroom is about 20 inches tall and the bowl is 24 inches wide at the top.
