A friend and exceptionally supportive customer of mine was looking to have a box crafted for his mom for Christmas 2007. I'm a little embarrassed to report it was finished in February 2008 (sigh). But it is done and delivered, it was fun to make and while it was kindof painful working with little glass pieces I do really enjoy meticulous detail in glass. The box is inspired by delft patterns on kitchenware. Enjoy.

As requested there is no hinge, the lid has a metal lip that sets it into the box.

Hello, my name is Byron Norelius, and I've been working with stained glass for about 8 years. I am currently taking a long break from academic pursuits in conservation and environmental biology to attempt a simpler existence.. which I'm hoping to use my talents with glass to at least partially finance. My background in the natural sciences has greatly influenced my style and subject matter, both of which are semi-reminiscent of the art nouveau movement with its use of natural motifs and curving lines. Comments, questions, and commission inquiries are welcome and appreciated. Thanks, and enjoy.
