It's amazing how many different colors can be achieved using only silver. With their ghostly translucence these marbles attempt to illustrate emotional states that I've never been able to put into words. From despair to hope to joy, I feel that this work revels in the beauty of that which is felt but cannot be spoken. I hope that you enjoy them.

mer's art is primarily concerned with the expression of emotion through a balance of traditional form and controlled chaos. One of my favorite things about working with glass is the manner in which the material collaborates with the artist to affect the final outcome. In glass Mer has found a means of expressing the beauty that he finds within the human condition.
