Female Flame Off 2007

Female Flame Off 2007

This was, without a doubt, the greatest adventure of my glassblowing career. Never before had I seen so many beautiful women with so much talent all in one place. Thanks so much, boys and girls alike, for welcoming me in to your world. And thanks so much to Nate, Josh, Ian, Victoria, and Jessie for having me in your space and taking such good care of all of us.

I finally did it!!!

I finally did it!!!

Much love and thanks to Antony and Jeff for the help...this is the first one I did after Antony gave me a lesson on the correct way to produce a honeycomb...yay for me...and yay for Antony...and yay for Jeff...and yay for flame offs...and yay for Aaron lettin' a bunch of us pile up in his house and studio which is where I got my lesson. I pulled it off exactly as it was the first time I saw it...wanted to preserve the magic...I did many dances.

Kyli's first piece at age three

Kyli's first piece at age three

She wants to work every day. I don't even get to work every day. This is the first thing she made...assuming you don't belive she really made the goblet. She made the gather and applied the color all by herself. I pulled it off and put a hoop on it.

new rings

new rings

All of the old rings that were worthy went Flameworks (I love Kevin and Jeannine) to find new homes...this is the latest batch. I used borosticks for these...all in all I am quite happy with the results.

oyster pendant

oyster pendant

I am really happy with this guy. He didn't live with me long...less than 24 hours. He was snatched up the moment I opened my case the next day. He now lives in Houston.

Rainbows and retticellos

Rainbows and retticellos

I just got a ton of color from Elan...I love this rainbow. This is some of my recent stuff. These are my first two beads in years. Everything is asian black, borostix, or fume. Those three are pretty much all I ever use.
