(Art Glass Decor)

Eternal Flora We are very pleased with how the arrangments have been turning out as we have tackled some new and very challenging flora to create. All arrangements are real to life size and are all colored and clear borosilicate glass. With assorted cold work consisting of graal, etching, sandblasting and oil paint washes.

Please check back for more arrangement images to come!

Tropic Sunrise

Tropic Sunrise

Heliconia latispatha, strelitzia reginae "Bird of Paradise", bamboo, and anthurium andraeanum.

38" x 15"

This was the ultimate arrangment with complexity of design throughout the Heliconia and the bird of paradise. Needless to say we learned more in this arrangment than all of them together. We were very excited to see this vision a reality and it was entirely made in the heat of the summer when our studio was pushing well over 100 degrees.

Dusty pink calla lillies

Zantedeschia "Dusty Pink", llex verticilla, elaeahnus pungens "Maculata". 30" x 20"

*2007 NICHE AWARD NOMINEE* in the catagory of lampworking.

A very time consuming arrangment and most complex to assemble , all we have ever learned about glass was incorporated into this design. Lampworked borosilicate glass, grall, sandblasted and painted.

Trinadad Burst

Trinadad Burst

Anthurium andraeanum "Trinadad" and sping grass. 36" x 28"

First in the series. We employed the help of local glass friends to help pull the flat cane grass to lengths across our shop. Lampworked borosilicate glass, sandblasted, painted. Thanks to Brian Knauss, Matt Hess and Rosario Anastasi for their help.

Dream of Fantasia I & II

Dream of Fantasia I & II

Anthurium andraeanum "Fantasia", dried bamboo and autumn grass. 20" x 11"

This is when we realized that we found our system for creating anthuriums. They took a tenth the time of our first three trys and looked even better. We also enjoyed making the bamboo, as it was a filler that was untried before and it added a new emotion to our arrangements.

Thanks for looking!

Aztec Gold

Aztec Gold

Twelve Zantedeschias "Calla Lily". 32" x 12"

We vastly improved the design on the calla lillies with these new batches by learning from our past trys. We believe they came out much more natural looking, than our past attempts and have a more solid design.

Luck of Trinadad I & II

Luck of Trinadad I & II

Anthurium andraeanum "Trinadad", bamboo, and summer grass. 20" x 9"

We've done this type of anthurium before yet the process was much improved upon. We were really happy with how the new "lucky" bamboo turned out with it's curves and color gradation.

Crimson Delight I & II

Crimson Delight I & II

Zantedeschia, llex verticillata, and autumn grass. 31" x 8"

Trying to get a bit simpler with these arrangments, we thought the burgandy color of the calla really had a nice punch with the berries.

Lunette's Song

Lunette's Song

Anthurium andraeanum "Lunette", anthurium crystallinum and spring grass 28" x 18"

We learned an emense amount from the previous antheriums so we employed that knowledge to create the better flower. Up to 6 plus hours of work for each pink antherium, but well worth the effort, be sure and click on one of the close-ups to really see the vein work. Lampworked borosilicate glass, sandblasted, painted.

Purity I

Purity I

Zantedeschia aethiopica "Crowborough". 30" x 11"

Very simple in design and very elegant with all it's simplicity. The arrangemnet is a favorite of the few who have seen the series in person. Lampworked borosilicate glass.
