The Japanese name Aki means "autumn". I decorated her with falling autumn leaves and goldstone then made her into a pendant featuring Swarovski crystals and sterling/fine silver.

Bara means rose or rosebush in Japanese. Inspired by a colossal rose bush I saw in Tombstone, Arizona. This rose bush is so large, it's held up by supports and you can walk underneath while it spreads out like a canopy over your head.

Tracy Jerrell Akhtar
I've been drawing since I could hold a crayon, thanks to my mother who is also an artist. It wasn't until I began working with hot glass May 2005 that something really sparked inside of me. As a self-taught glass artist, I hope my beads are just the beginning of a long and adventurous career into this astounding medium.
