Just "another" Light Vortex with vapor trails and dichro. The pics REALLY don't properly communicate the qualities of this piece - but you get the idea

I don't do dichro galaxy's very often but this ended up being worth the effort. I love the way the dichro spun out into layers of colors. There is an opal in the center of the piece that is hard to see in photos. I sparkles more than the dichro. There are a ridiculous number of opals in the bands as well. One of my all time favorites

Experimental based on some things I've been playing around with for the last 6 months. Dichro, opals, fumes, and powder - pretty much sums up how I like to play "The Game"

Pure Energy flowing from and returning to ONE source. This marble is #1 of 2 orbs made for the "sci-fi" movie being produced by 20th Century Fox. I am very interested in seeing what will be done with the final special effects / animation of the 2 orbs. Check out "Starship Dave" - Eddie Murphy - 2008

By far the largest and nicest of the double sided Light Mandala marbles I have made. A really nice way to end 2008. I am very pleased to know that it safe in the collection of someone that will treasure it for a really long time.

Viewing this marble marble in hand - rotating it - makes my head swim. Just when you think you have solid grip "reality" it shifts - Allowing you to see the deeper, more complex, layered elements. Then it shifts again.

I spent a really nice weekend at Jesse Demoss's place in Idaho. Everyone had a really good time hanging out and my day long demo went REALLY well. I could not have been happier with pieces that were made during th demo. Thanks Jesse, Shelly, Bob. I hope to make it back some day.

This eye was made for the www.glassaddictionforum.com eyeball marble contest last year. It got 3rd place. I was rushed in finishing and did not strike the silver in the combs enough. I "cooked" it a little longer and now it looks like it should.

I REALLY like to make honeycomb vortex marbles and now I REALLY like to add the honeycomb discs to the back. This marble turned out perfectly. One of my finest. Not much else to say except that this marble is the accumulation of 6 years of non stop combing. I can't help but fume on.

Always trying to "perfect" this style. But, what is perfection? Seems dangerous to define. I am very happy with this piece and that's enough.

I made a number of these eye marbles a ways back. Used to make them with "Kimble" brand boro that was discontinued in 2003. I have heard from some folks that I can't make them now that the "fume friendly" Kimble does not exist. While the treatment of the newer Kimble (post '03) is different and the results are not quite the same. It is very possible to still make these eye marbles. This one is Kimble on the front and Simax on the back. This is the largest I have made to date. Still a challenge.

Fingers of pure white light being sucked into an beautiful sparkling endless vortex. Returning to it's source. The dichro was difficult to properly represent in a photo. It is much more vibrant than these images show. These photos also don't really show the inner elements of the light vortex. You can see straight down the middle into infinity. One of my finest

I will be doing an all day demo at Jesse Demoss' studio in McCall, Idaho on Sept. 8th. I will be focusing on my theories of of gold and silver fume applications. Much of the focus will be on the variety of honeycombing techniques that I use. I will be demonstrating much of my pendant production line as well as large marble assembly. Contact Jesse - sales@jessedemoss.com for more info. Recent works pictured below. It will be a good time.

Another Light Vortex. This time with more a light bloom effect. I it is hard to tell if the light is coming or going. The opal accents on the front and back add to the luminescence. Over all very large and challenging piece.

Another Light Vortex with Dichro. The fume on this one turned out really nice. I love it when I get those pinks blues and whites. I have made fumed milles in the past but it has been a long time so I made some new ones that turned out well and accent the piece nicely. Just another marble

This is the 2nd astral jelly that made it into a marble. Still a few details to work out but I am very pleased with the results. The astral jelly "fans" vibrate to move them through our space / time continuum.

When base tonal sounds are vibrated through sand or liquid they create patterns within the material. The science of producing, viewing, and understanding these patterns is known as "Cymatics". This science was pioneered by Swiss scientist Dr. Hans Jenny (1904 -1972). Every frequency of sound creates its own unique pattern. These patterns occur repeatedly through out nature. The base tonal vibration for all creation is the "Om" or "Aum" vibration. Everything in the universe is made of vibrating energy. Every object or entity vibrates on its own unique frequency. All vibrating energy can be seen as light. This includes humans. We are vibrating light energy. There are points in the universe and on our earth where this energy is more focused and these points are known as vortices or vortex's. I find this information to be fascinating but I am new to most of it and my understanding of it is limited. Please feel free to contact me if I you have a greater understanding of any of this info. or for any reason a

Every living entity's spirit energy vibrates at a distinct frequency. This energy moves forward, spiraling in a straight line. The higher the frequency of the vibration the more transparent and glowing the energy becomes. The thick fluffy spirit energy represents the spirit of man and the lighter glowing energy represents spirits that exsist on a higher plane of awareness.

Thank you for taking the time to check out this gallery. I spent my childhood in Grand Haven, Michigan. Shortly after earning a BA in film and video production from Grand Valley State University I realized that there was no way I was going to be able to express myself as an individual in the all consuming world of film. A desire to escape the influences of city life led my wife and I to the Blue Ridge Mountains of southern Virginia. Fortunately the art of lamworked glass found me. Over the past 7 years I have spent many hours trying to decifer the language of glass, figuring out why glass appeals to me, and how I can make it my own. I feel blessed to be working in such a limitless medium and hope to continue to do so for many years. I hope you like my creations. Blessings, Kenan
