Steve Maida: Diggin this sculpture...reminds me of Easter Island...the Birdman Cult...once a year they had a competition to climb down a cliff, swim to a small island, grab a bird egg which were only found there, swim back, climb up the cliff again, and be the first back without breaking the egg...they would be the Birdman for one year...it's some really interesting culture...however this cult arose during the final years of the islands social existence. peace
