petrified pipe/ sand river find this specimen was discovered near the banks of the sand river. over the course of time this river has nurtured a multitude of civilizations and changed it course countless times. according to geochronology, the artifact dates back 75 to 80 B.C., predating the portland vase..stunning evidence that glass was manipulated far earlier than we have been led to believe. due to the fragilty of the piece, the matrix will recieve no further removal. near by petroglyphs indicate this culture was heavily dedicated to smoking rituals. much more to be revealed.
