Turbine Vortex Marble

This is a brand new one. It's a very 3D design that really must be seen in hand to appreciate the detail. The vanes overlap just like the blades of a turbine in a jet engine, hence the name. I'm hoping to have a bunch of these at Wheaton this year.

I've been working with glass for about five years now, mostly part-time. In the last year and a half, my focus has primarily been marble making with borosilicate. Once in a while I'll mix it up with soft glass beads and jewelry, boro beads, and functional pieces.
