M.C. Escher Silkscreened Glass Wall Panel

M.C. Escher Silkscreened Glass Wall Panel

Kilnformed wall panel - silkscreened center with an MC Escher picture that lays inside (measures 7"x7") fused glass frame that measures 14" x14" - I really like this technique because when it's all said and done - the glass panel resembles wood - I have yet to get a great shot of the entire panel - so that's coming soon! Panel has also been coldworked on a Somaca belt sander. It's all glass - except the ink1

NM Sunset - Half Bowl - Half Happy

NM Sunset - Half Bowl - Half Happy

This Bullseye kiln formed piece has been tack fused - fused - slumped - grinded - then polished to achieve desired finish -

Happy with all of the above - exoept for gold frit zig zags that were applied - that is why only showing half of piece - live and learn .. lol

Sushi Tray in Sun

Sushi Tray in Sun

I really liked how the sun was hitting this fused piece - I walked by at the right moment, and snapped this photo.

Of course - it looked better in person :)

I made this 6x6 piece about a year ago - fused/slumped glass with pattern silver foil - coldworked and polished on a belt sander.

It's a pretty simple piece ... but I like it.

Hi ~ I'm Sarah

I'm 26 years old and currently reside in Eugene, Oregon.

In 1998 - I co-founded Eugene Glass Alliance - a contemporary lampworking studio.

Today - I am currently focusing on my own glass work - which includes borosilicate flameworked beads along with kiln formed glass - I especially enjoy coldworking most of the pieces I create - either on Somaca belt sander or on an Ameritool flat lap.

Besides glass, I enjoy photography and web design.

Thanks for visiting my gallery.
