whoa!!
dude! congrats.. once it surpasses 3 feet the prices goes up like ten thousand dollars or more. envious...
but seriously, inappropriate sarcasm and technical proficiancy aside, in this instance does heighth purely for the sake of heighth have any redeeming qualities or make any design contribution to the overall aesthetic?
Well Matt I do agree with you in full. This peice for me represented more of a personal barrier as opposed to a strictly artistic endevour. Prior to this the largest that I had attempted was well under 2'. Thow now that I feel as this new scale is within my grasp I do intend to push forward into more of an artistic direction

i can't deny the desire to push ones technical abilities concerning scale, i've been guilty of it all along. i'm only pushing for the work to be appealing in its design regardless of scale.
for example, if the piece here were scaled down to the size of a writing pen, it would be fantastically detailed, requiring a magnifying lens to truly appreciate its workmanship. you get the idea.. and please excuse my overt critisisms, i've had my nose in the writings of contemporary art histories of late.
