Yes. I make beads. Sometimes. I got my start on a Hot Head making beads with Effetre.

New Beads for Tuscon

New Beads for Tuscon

I'm in full panic mode trying to make inventory for Tuscon. So, I got out the soft glass and got to work. Here's a sample. Only a couple thousand more to make, hehe.

Soft Glass Beads

Soft Glass Beads

Working soft glass was a great way to start out but I'm glad that I now primarily work with Boro. Here's some of my soft glass work from several years ago.

Borosilicate Beads

Borosilicate Beads

I'm obsessed with Boro color and the amazing properties you can achieve with combinations of striking colors. Unfortunately I work mostly with marbles and a lot of the colors just can't be had within a heavily encased marble. So, I really enjoy crafting some nice colorfull Boro beads now and then. Most are sold on eBay and wholesale to bead stores. Some end up in finished jewelery that is sold through galleries.

I've been working with glass for about five years now, mostly part-time. In the last year and a half, my focus has primarily been marble making with borosilicate. Once in a while I'll mix it up with soft glass beads and jewelry, boro beads, and functional pieces.
