Okay, I 've been making beads since October of 2006 and this bead was a part of the very first bead set I had ever made- a friend of mine was real into the blue and brown and pink and brown, which I guess is still sorta in right now, so I made her a set with those colors. I really love this bead. Who am I kidding, I love ALL beads. :)

Ah, this is one of my aboslute favorite pieces. I got into a real "ocean" groove this spring and a lot of the beads I ended up making were with Vetro Streaky Sapphire and the new Vetro Light Brown. I started playing around with etching with ivory and baking soda as well to get that "sandy" feel. This one obviously is not etched or with soda. The dots made me think of bubbles coming up from the ocean floor.

In Feb 2008 I started a strange and wonderful journey of making little cutsey folkish glass birds. I'm still making them. This gallery will showcase my glass evolution with these feathered friends of mine!
If you're interested in any of these works, they are still currently in production. Email me for more info.

I am a lifetime artist and semi-new lampworker. I started making glass beads and sculpturals in October of 2006. I love all art forms but seem to be able to express myself in a deeper and more meaningful way through glass. This is what I identify with now and I feel fortunate to have found this craft.

Nice work yourself.
I am infatuated with the ocean aand the creatures it holds. I started with soft glass beads on a Mapp gas Hot head torch and just kept on going from there. now I am a pyrex Junky. One fun thing about glass is once you get the flow its all in your imagination. I really dig this Glass artists web site. I'll get more pics up soon. Just moved my shop into Anchorage to create a studio that we can invite other glass artists to Alaska to teach and play. Have fun
