(Glass Paperweights)

Jellyfish Came up with the idea of how to make these jellyfish about a year ago but got too busy and never perfected it so I decided to try again. Still not quite there but I think I will be able to make some good sized Jellyfish with this method. 4.5" H

I have been working with glass for about 11 years. I first started in my senior year at UC Santa Cruz as a Biology Major. About halfway through my senior year I got a basic lampworking setup and by the time I graduated I was making enough money to survive. Since then I have been working hard to build my studio, my knowledge, and to continually advance as a glassblower. My first few years I had very little influence from other glass artists and recently I have realized that there are a lot of talented and inspirational artists out there and I am glad I finally feel like I am becoming part of the glass community. Nope...
No, I don't think it would be possible to mushroom push one that size although I haven't tried it.

.......
Figured I'd get people guessing before giving any hints. All I'm gonna say is it is closest to an implosion marble technique. I don't think I'm making it to the marble show. I'm going to Central America for a month in a couple weeks and have a shitload to do before then. TL

Sweet jellys
I think i know how you did this.... i tried the implosion tech with jellys once. just add a ball of clear on a flatened color dot on a maria ,implode and then add some dots that will eventually be pulled down to make tentacles...Is that how? Either way ive never got mine to look that good keep it up
