Some of my hollow work

(Functional Art Glass)

Some of my hollow work I still have trouble with symmetrical hollow peices. So, I prefer to create more organic forms.

I have been working with glass since 1998, when I happened to get a job at Glasscraft following my newfound interest in making glass beads. Quickly, I ended my relationship with soft glass and mandrels and found borosilicate much more fun to work with. I started doing production full time in 2001, having picked up as much information as I could from random blowers and Glasscarft employees- and of course, Homer Hoyt. Today I find time to make art in between my huge production orders. I am looking forward to using my skills in different media to combine with glass for hopefully more expressive work. I feel glass art can be much more technique oriented than anything, and I am excited to see some of the more expressive works being created currently. I am inspired by the awesome works of artists, including the glass artists on this site; as well as beauty I find in nature and in music.
