Dragonfly

Posted by Wesley Fleming on 2/12/2007
My neighbor commissioned this as a Valentine's Day gift for his wife. Also the first dragonfly that I have attempted.

Made on a Nortel Minor from Effetre glass with encased dichroic for the wings.

Wesley Fleming, glass sculptor Wesley is inspired by the shapes and colors of nature as well as his wacky imagination, spending much of his spare time exploring under rocks and logs outdoors. With his glass insects, Wesley mimics actual species with intricate detail. In other pieces he conjures creatures from dreams and his inner reality.
