This beetle is loosely based on the Leafcutter Beetle which thinks that the plants in my garden are so yummy in the springtime.

Made on a Nortel Minor from Effetre glass.

Wesley Fleming, glass sculptor Wesley is inspired by the shapes and colors of nature as well as his wacky imagination, spending much of his spare time exploring under rocks and logs outdoors. With his glass insects, Wesley mimics actual species with intricate detail. In other pieces he conjures creatures from dreams and his inner reality. Wesley has been working with hot glass for 9 years and is represented by galleries around the United States. His work can be found online at: www.wesleyfleming.com
