The Honeycomb Mold

  « Helen Stokes Gallery

(Cast Glass Sculpture)

The Honeycomb Mold The honeycomb mold enables intricate objects to be cast without sprues. It is stronger and lighter than the block mold. The plaster, silica and fiberglass construction is made in layers. Within those layers are walls and chambers that give the mold its strength.
Helen teaches the honeycomb technique internationally, her teaching schedule is listed on the events page of her web site.
