the "US-vampire" bottle was a milestone in my flameworker career. It was made for the action of the GAS conference in Seattle 2003. I got in contact with the buyer of this piece, Ed Kirshner, who showed me after that how to work with the neon plasma technic

the "world´s tradition" series were planed 2003. The aim was to create 12 large bottles (all about 5 liter content) which are showing typical hunting scenes all around the world. I have only finished 4 of them. The rest I will make when I´m in retirement.

I made these bottles during my working trip 2000/2001 in Beaver Creek Colorado. The symetric human groups are melted inside and outside the vessels. It was an unbelievable trip which opens up my eyes what´s going on with flameworked glass in the US.

What a day - the 8.8.2007! In the morning a worked on this skull. Suddenly Gitti was coming and said its time for going to hospital. A few hours later our son Maximilian was born. 6 more hours in the same building our aunt died surprisingly - this was really an emotional day I will never forget. The skull was the perfect piece for this day - blood as a symbol for life and the skull as a symbol for "game over"...

In the third workshop with Ed Kirshner we developed our first footvase "holy grail" 2005. Since that time I improved the light effects and tested different gas mixtures for a bigger color spectrum. The most fascinating thing in this work are the moving light effects (plasma). The patterns of the "treepot" for example is turning left in the top and turning right in the foot. The vases are between 30 to 90cm high

Hi Brent
I work mostly with Arnold burners. In my eyes the Arnold Zenit medium size (head diameter 40mm) is the most universal burner. A good burner should have a very clean, homogene flame, should save propane and oxygen and should very easy in operating that you can have your eyes on the glass and not on the burner valves...
