Wild Island

Posted by AmyGervais on 2/4/2007
Pendants created from beach glass found on the shores of Lake Champlain in Vermont. The lake was once host to hundreds of tansport, trade and liesure vessels, such as the Ticonderoga. Wars were faught on the lake centuries ago. I scavange the beach often for treasures that may be reminents of times long ago. Many of the glass pieces I have identified as medicine bottles, jadite pieces and depression glass. Each piece is wrapped with sterling silver wire or set in silver. Designs vary from a simple, single line to elaborate loops and spirals.
