krix hey! this is me. sometimes i post some things that i haven't cleaned out yet, or haven't fixed up nicely. but i get excited and have to post em. so if you see one that you like, that's kind of messy, don't worry! you'd NEVER get one in a crappy condition. i always clean them out and get em nice and shiney.
i'm actually embarking on a new artistic journey :) i have decided i'd rather live as a penniless artist then be stuck and drawn into a job that doesn't make me happy. here it goes!

thought i should elaborate and share my glass adventure!:
i have always loved glass. just never knew it was possible for me to play w/ such a medium until last year. i caught up w/ a good friend and she was making beads! i was astonished that she knew of this art and asked her to help me get started. between her and a local glass shop owner, i have become addicted to making glass creations. i was on a hot head for about a year. i just received my lynx. (thanks to a reccommendation from jupiter- he has no idea who i am i just wrote an email haha. but i feel the need to thank him and promote him as i tell my story b/c it's b/c of him i have a lynx!!!) and WOW is it amazing. really. the possibilities just swung open for me. i'm very excited and open like a sponge to suck in anything and everything i can! i hope to broaden my abilities. make some money w/ some beads and get set up for official classes to learn new techniques. i love to incorporate metal into my glassworks. and am learning as best i can how to do that. everything is a process. eventually, my dream goal is to get myself in a hot shop as a gaffer. big dream, i know! but one day. until then, i am going to become more proficient w/ the glass, learn even more how it flows and likes to be worked. then i am going to take it further and see what possibilities there are for me to get into a local shop. i'm just enjoying the ride w/ this beautiful medium. contact me if you need something made, or would like to buy a creation of mine! grazie!!!

hi krix!
"i'm actually embarking on a new artistic journey :) i have decided i'd rather live as a penniless artist then be stuck and drawn into a job that doesn't make me happy."

i can totally relate to this. Yeah, i was gonna become a merchant marine for a while to save up enough money to just make art and not have to worry about selling. spent my last bit of money getting into the school. thought i was gonna be gone for months/years but today, less than a week into the schooling i bailed. apparently they cant make you do pushups as punishment, but they Can force you to work 19 hours a day in the kitchen with only 4 hours sleep a night. no days off and for 2 weeks straight, before geting to the classes. i mean i love hard work, but let a man recoup 8 freaking hours so i can do it again the next day! know what im saying? after the 4th night of 4 hours sleep i decided i'd find another way to fund my own art making addiction. Its cool, that training and the time out at sea woulda kept me away from the torch for months at a time. your work looks good for 2 years exp. i can tell youre motivated about learning about glass! you got another spot in your shop? cause im about to be forced to set up my torch in the back of an old postal truck. as soon as i can save up the scratch to get a kiln again. had i not joined that school i woulda had enough, but now, im gonna have to work as a camp counselor over the summer or something. hopefully they'll hire me back. im going to have to kiss some serious camp administrator arse after the stunts i got cought pulling last few summers i worked there. oh boy there i go rambling again.. if you read this far email me about that studio spot haha! flametard(at)hotmail.com
