Pink n White Geisha
A gift I made for my cousin's wife. She wanted pink and white and this is what flowed onto the mandrel. I don't know what she's watching but she must like it, she's clapping.

Pink n White
View from the side. You can't see it in the photo, but there's goldstone in the trim on her sleeves, belt and obi. I pulled it very thin which gives it more of a subtle shimmer, just catches your eye as the light hits it.

~* Rei *~
Rei means "grace" in Japanese, one of the meanings anyway. I wanted her to look as if she was walking with part of her silky kimono trailing behind.

Rei 2
I pictured her sleeve whooshing back more than usual with her quick little steps, feet kicking back at the hem.

Rei 3
I really like the obi on this geisha. Somewhat different hairstyle than I normally make also.

Tracy Jerrell Akhtar
I've been drawing since I could hold a crayon, thanks to my mother who is also an artist. It wasn't until I began working with hot glass May 2005 that something really sparked inside of me. As a self-taught glass artist, I hope my beads are just the beginning of a long and adventurous career into this astounding medium.
