(Glass Beads)

Galaxy beads These are a few shots of galaxy beads that I have made using pure silver against a Glass Alchemy Raven background. Some beads have opals incorporated in to them for some extra sparkle. :o)

Galaxy Beads of 2005

Galaxy Beads of 2005

These beads are some of the Galaxy series beads I have made. Most are made with a GA Raven or NS black hole base with silver and silver fumes twisted together to form "galaxies". They were made in 2005.

The opals in this one reminded me of moons. There are 3 in this bead.

I added some purple luster fine frit so it made these beads look a little more unusual.

I have been working with glass for about 3 years.

Aside from borosilicate torch-work I enjoy sculptural ceramics, pottery, lapidary work, acrylic paints, and lost wax casting. I enjoy pretty much anything that I can visually express myself with, so I guess you could say that I am a multi-media artist. I am also currently enrolled and taking classes to get my Liberal Arts Degree.

These are so nice. You're really onto something here. Keep up the good work. Have you only been working a year? Or is that out dated?
