"Borealis" Lanterns

  « Wayside Glass's Gallery

(Glass Candle Holders)

"Borealis" Lanterns Bringing a warm glow into the darker seasons.

This range uses specific coloured pieces of fused desag artista to capture the height of the projected light of a Tea light.
Combing the glass and foil work with solid cut slices of local wood I think they truly capture the essence and rapture of the northern weather.

Sorry about the quality of the pics.

Wayside Glass
Based in a small Northumbrian fishing village, Wayside Glass was set up in July 2006 by the artist Joanne Michelle Burke.
After attaining a first class degree in fine arts, specializing in multi media installations, Jo began her training in traditional Stained glass at North Grange, Newcastle, UK. She has subsequently combined this knowledge to explore the medium of glass for architectural and commissioned art works.
