Hong Kong Disneyland Castle

  « David Sandidge's Gallery

(Glass Sculptures)

Hong Kong Disneyland Castle I made this castle in 2005. It took about 4 months to finish. It was crated up and shipped to Hong Kong where I finished the assembly. The piece was done in stitch work or lace work after first making a plastic model from the blue prints of the actual castle. It is now on display in the Arribas gallery on Main Street in the park where it can be purchased for $50,000.00

damn david
Good to see ya posting again. I think you posted that before, I know I saw it somewhere before, not in that much detail that I remember. Some people still can't beleive what can be done with knitted work. That piece is tightly weaved, as it should be.
I did a knitted wedding heart at agi this year, pretty custom one for a special order Elaine took..yeah I get the knit work requests, don't bother me though, I'm still pretty good at it, I don't know how some of the old guys forgot how to do it, I pretty much gave it up 10 years ago, but will do a custom piece here and their..will be Florida in Jan. so I'll be coming back through Orlando on the way home, so pm me your info again, and I'll make it a point to stop on in this time.
