A design well suited for jewelry is my 2 piece geisha. The body is streamlined and made into either a cone or what I think of as vase shapes.

Sssss Fire Goddess ssssS
I made her body into one large lantern. I layered the flames to give it a dimensional look, I wanted them to dance around her body. Her hair is made of twisted flames also.

Thai Princess
This was one of my early 2 piece geisha. I made her back in March or April of 2006.

Anime Geisha
I called her an "Anime Geisha" because I thought her pointed hair buns made her look more modern and punky.

Amaya
One of my favorites! I really loved the face on this one and use her in some of my website graphics.

Citrus Geisha
The colors on her body made me think of limes and oranges.

Sunisa
I really like the eyes on this one. They're unique compared to most I've done so far, like she has thin eyebrows and a nose bridge.

Empress Chinatsu
I tried a new hair design and went through a bit of a floral phase. Her body is sky blue with white clouds floating by, green leaves and vines with purple and pink flowers climbing up. This is typically the size I make although lately some are larger.

Temple Dancer
I added dramatic eyeshadow to this one and a glowing sunset to her body.

Bird Geisha
Actually I think I named her Suzume. I kept this one for my own collection because the bird head on her body turned out so perfectly, I don't think I could do it again. It was one of those "some skill and lotta luck" moments.

Midnight Garden
My most favorite 2 piece geisha, I kept her and still wear her on a silver chain. I love the theme of being in a garden at midnight with a sliver of moon above. Romantic and mysterious *sigh*

Midnight Garden in Mauve
I used a new glass I had just bought, a mauve or dusty rose color.

Midnight Roses
I used reactive silver glass on the bottom to give the illusion of storm clouds rolling in as the sun is disappearing. Then added vines and roses on top. My inspiration was the movie "Practical Magic" and the roses growing overnight. ;)

Black & Gold Geisha
I used real gold leaf on her body. She looks like she knows it too! I enjoy how my geisha seem to have their own expressions and personality to them. Some look cute and sweet, some aloof and proud. I never know what's coming out of the kiln. :)

Jungle Geisha aka Meteor Geisha
I loved the body design on this one. The last light of the sunset is fading from view, the moon has risen and meteors are sizzling across the evening sky. The bottom half was decorated with flowers and then covered with large leaves.

Jungle/Meteor Geisha
Closeup of her body. You can see the sizzling meteors shooting across the sky and the detail of the leaves. A thank you gift to my boss at my temp job, for hiring me. I kinda miss it there! Those ladies were fun to work with.

Red Skies
I layered silver foil underneath and had some reactions with pink! "Red skies at night, sailor's delight;Red skies at morn sailor's be warned." That's what I had stuck in my head while making this one.

Tracy Jerrell Akhtar
I've been drawing since I could hold a crayon, thanks to my mother who is also an artist. It wasn't until I began working with hot glass May 2005 that something really sparked inside of me. As a self-taught glass artist, I hope my beads are just the beginning of a long and adventurous career into this astounding medium.

    Thank you
Tracy Jerrell Akhtar: Thank you Gypsea! I have a wooden kokeshi doll and that was the inspiration for the faces on my geisha beads. I'm happy my work brought back a good memory.
