"Cuttle" is a concentrated work of fused, etched and leaded glass. A panel I've truly put myself into. It echoes the sea that breaks to the right of me as I sleep and the shapes that the sound create within the mind as I drifted off. Initially based on a sketch from an old doodle pad.

Based in a small Northumbrian fishing village, Wayside Glass was set up in July 2006 by the artist Joanne Michelle Burke. After attaining a first class degree in fine arts, specializing in multi media installations, Jo began her training in traditional Stained glass at North Grange, Newcastle, UK. She has subsequently combined this knowledge to explore the medium of glass for architectural and commissioned art works.
