Emanuel Toffolo was born in Murano in 1982, and grew up in a family of top Glass Artists. His father, Cesare Toffolo is a famous artist in lampworking blown glass and his glass art is internationally exhibited. His grand-grandfather Giacomo and grandfather Florino were glass masters in Venini Furnace. Florino began lampworking later and was the first lampworker in Toffolo’s family. Emanuel graduated in 2001 at High School of Art in Venice and then had experience in different kind of works. In 2002 began flameworking and thanks to his passion for the natural subjects and particularly for the insect world he focused his work in the reproduction of different kind of bugs. Emanuel is a self-taught young artist who has started working alone, just for pleasure, without any apprenticeship or glass school, making a good using of the suggestions and encouragement of his father Cesare and the glass artist Vittorio Costantini. The love and passion for glass art have convinced Emanuel to go on by this way.
