"Borealis" Lanterns

"Borealis" Lanterns

Bringing a warm glow into the darker seasons.

This range uses specific coloured pieces of fused desag artista to capture the height of the projected light of a Tea light.
Combing the glass and foil work with solid cut slices of local wood I think they truly capture the essence and rapture of the northern weather.

Sorry about the quality of the pics.

Following on from the initial design structure of the "Borealis" lanterns.

Again pics aren't that good. Sorry.

"Transmute"

"Transmute"

This Hanging panel was designed for the Centre of Creative Change in the UK. Working with Penni closely we created an art work that reflects aspects of her company's dynamic as well as the wonderful landscape of sky, hills and heather.

The Centre For Creative Change is one of the foremost leadership and personal development coaching organisations in the UK.

More pics to follow.

Bespoke Stained Glass

Bespoke Stained Glass

"Cuttle" is a concentrated work of fused, etched and leaded glass. A panel I've truly put myself into. It echoes the sea that breaks to the right of me as I sleep and the shapes that the sound create within the mind as I drifted off. Initially based on a sketch from an old doodle pad.

FIGURATIVE FUSED GLASS SCULPTURE

FIGURATIVE FUSED GLASS SCULPTURE

Using desag artista art glass this piece melds into a richness of colour and movement. It was a true pleasure to work on this one off piece and has me itching for more creative flat bed fusing.

The design for this piece was adapted from an original pastel image by artist C.Baxter.

Newbiggin Bay

Newbiggin Bay

A complicated yet beautiful panel of the view of the Bay of Newbiggin by the Sea, Northumberland.

To the right is the traditional Coble fising boat . Cobles are still put to sea daily from Newbiggin, as they have done for well over 100 years.
