I really enjoyed watching Tim make this lionfish. He has great technique and is obviously very passionate about his craft. He also entered the team sculpture/ goblet competition with his partner Wil Menzies!

Although the focus of this event was Flameworking, there were also a few soft glass demonstrations going on. The women in this picture got to assist in making a glass float!

Mike Plane is the Vice President at E.G.S and a very talented artist. Here he is making a vessel with quotes written on it. The quotes where provided by the spectators... The M.C had him write "Kill your own snake", a phrase she picked up in Africa!

This torch is made entirely out of Quartz. Pretty cool huh?

There were several new torch's available to try....Nortel had a new torch that was really nice and carlisle had a couple smaller torch's to try.

Quartz does not conduct heat very well and this torch stay's cool to the touch even at full blast!
