(Fused / Slumped / Kiln Formed Glass Art)

Into The Mystic For the month of August my wife was the featured artist of the month at the Art Source Gallery in downtown Boise, ID. The main piece we did for the opening was a 7ft tall frame with glass bowls on it to form an elephants head titled "Into The Mystic". With only one small fusing kiln with a shelf only 12x12" it took almost 3 months of fusing and slumping to finish all the pieces one at a time, makes us wish we had a bigger kiln. Here are some pictures from our opening night. I didn't have time to take lots of pictures with all the people that showed up, but it was a fantastic first night out. Enjoy.

Its hard to see in the picture, but I made a special 7ft tall plate stand for this to sit in, there was no way we were going to hang it on that concrete wall.

Here is the new marble case we bought to put in the gallery, it is kind of cheesy in its construction, but it spins and has lights to show off all the marbles.

Right on James!
Looks cool man, you guys have been busy. Now you've got to get ready for your show up north...it's never ending.

One fusing kiln?? What, you won't let her use your kilns? Why you selfish man.

Maybe I'll check it out this week...I'm coming down. I'll give you a call, maybe we can get together.
