Title: For the twins
Size: 1 2/5ths of an inch
By J McGhee 2006

This marble was made for a buddy that just had twins one girl, one boy. How exiting, so I made this marble for them,
The four towers 2 pinkish white, 2 blue-ish white, each with its own floating opal at the tips of the towers…

Each tower represents each person the mom the dad and the two kids..

The opals are a bling green and two cool blues..

The inside walls are pin wheeled with blue and pink.

The backing has a row of og moss quad dot pinwheels, with a solid black base under the og moss, the bottom center has a row of connecting pinwheels that connect the four center dot pinwheel too…

My best wishes to them….

Ice Drop
Size: 1 ½ inch
By: J McGhee 2006

So for the last week and a half the temperature was 95 and above, so that means I have to work nights, which only dropped to 80 degrees… so with the torch running its about 90 degrees in the shop.. I was so hot I used a frozen cloth around my neck to cool off…

This is the creation that come from that cooling in fact it’s the only marble that has been a keeper in about 3 days…lol well not very funny, but got to laugh it off, to stay sane…..

Ok back to what you want to know…………………………

What is frozen in time? Well it’s this amazing frozen droplet…
You can almost follow the path of what ever dropped into this snow filled ice pond…
The middle of the drop has 4 drops of snow the fade into glittering ice…
The outer layers are super fine spiked ice crystals that froze in time, words can not describe this amazing marble ..

The backing is made of a hand mixed base coat of Sparkling Ice Blue.
Over that layer is a layer of a

The symmetry path of perfection
S.E. (special edition)
Size: 1 inch
By J McGhee 2006

This special edition is the true testament of fuming silver and gold in the perfect combination.
Symmetry is the beauty of form arising from balanced proportions
This is a perfect example of perfection.
This marble is stunning no matter how when and where you look at it. The fuming has a perfect glow to it.

The inside pattern is a cascading waterfall of rainbow fuming, trailing all the way down to a rippling spiked pool of vibrant brilliant neon rain bowed fuming, that splash back up to you. Truly amazing….

Colors range from blue, two greens, yellow and purple,.
Remember that all the color inside was made by fuming gold and silver on to the glass then trapping the fume under a layer of clear, that I let cool down then I reheat to let the crystals grow and form these wonderful colors.

The backing is a black base covered by a dark ghostly Atlantic blue sparkle, the patt

Title: What happened when kryptonite hit planet passion…
THIS…….
Size: 1 2/5ths of an inch
By J McGhee 2006

It’s a story of love passion and disaster….
This one peaceful planet was full of passion coated in a beautiful pinkish white.
Till
This piece of Gilson’s kryptonite green opal flew into its orbit and struck this once peacefully passionate planet…
This is what I was able to capture before it disintegrated….
There were three rows of blast rings that spiked toward me they were a stunning pink that faded white.. I could still see the meteor that took out this passionate planet, it was a triangle chunk of super special green it blinged with brilliance like it was gaining more power with every ray off light that hit it….

The inner wall has chucks of this planet free floating pin wheeled.

The backing is a solid black that has four rows of connecting pinwheels,
The bottom has a lovely four dot pinwheel centering the bottom…

These opals are not the normal that you see it it’s

Supercooled Liquid, Glass Art By J McGhee

First off let me tell u a little about me.....

I'm Jason McGhee 28yrs old.I live in Washington state. so I am always surrounded by the beauty Of nature and wonder. I love to incorporate these influences in to my art.

My first introduction to glass was at Disney world. Then I watched a lamp worker make all these wonderful things. Some years later, I met Jay Nazelrod my soon to be mentor.
After 3 months of watching intensely. I asked him if he would teach me how to blow glass. He said buy a torch to show dedication and so I did. I studied under jay for 2 yrs. Then I moved back to Vancouver and practiced my skills over and over again and again. another great influence in my glass life has been Matt & Misha of Eugene Rain, they push me beyond the limits. Ever since I’ve been hooked.

I have had the pleasure to work with Matt & Misha Geisler, John Kabuki, Nate Miers, Bob Snodgrass, Freindly Kat Glass,Sabine Boehn, and several others.

I love the quest of this never ending journey. Glass is very amazing, it can be shaped in to countless shapes. Colored, textured, for modern, contemporary, antiques looks.

My main influences are natural organic feels, natural wonders of the world. And modern contemporary organics. My mood also affects the style and colors of my work.

I stared this journey early 2002 and just don’t see an end too it. Hope you like my art as much as I love making it .
