*In one night light, the clear background is iridized glass with a subtle rainbow effect.
*The second night light has a clear iridized glass with a soft silver glow.
Glass portion measures 4 ¼ inches tall x 3 ¾ wide.

This tray has three layers of glass and the “snake” swimming across the face was made using the glass blowing process. There are subtle wave patterns behind the blue layer to represent water and give this piece movement. I trapped bubbles behind the marigold layer to further enhance the water effect. "Peace Kanji" Tray is a warm ivory fused glass tray encased with a wonderful textured irridized glass.
The irrid creates a rainbow effect that makes this piece POP beautifully!
"Kanji" is a Japanese symbol that mean "Peace".
The graphics have been hand-painted in glass powder.

The glass beads are made by me with a torch and annealed (cooled)in a kiln overnight for added durability.
The ivory background has shiny caramel swirls and squiggle accents.

***Latest News..."Hey, I made that!"
The Sunhawk House and it's Stained Glass door has been shown on TV!
This house was featured on Discovery Channel's "Planet Green" series "World's Greenest Homes".
The SunHawk episode first aired in 2008 and is still aired periodically.
Check out your local programming or log onto www.Discovery Channel.com.
I hope you get that channel because this truly is an amazing home.
History: This window was also featured in Natural Home Magazine (Nov/Dec 2004), the "Sun Hawk House" is a solar powered wonder built by John Schaeffer and his wife Nancy Hensley, founders of Real Goods Solar Living Institute in Hopland, CA. where I constructed the window in the Sun Hawk's front door.
Note...there are 144 pieces in the tail feathers (center of the window), after that, I lost count! This window measures 38" x 27".
